DATE:   Friday, November 11, 2011, 7:30 am – 5:00 pm

LOCATION:   Penn State Great Valley Conference Center, 30 Swedesford Road, Malvern, PA 19355

PURPOSE:   The goal of the conference is to advance the field of coaching by offering opportunities for coaches to share best practices, network, and improve and enrich their coaching practices. The conference will provide sessions on the foundations of coaching and emerging frontiers including emotional intelligence, brain-based coaching and mindfulness. Participants will attend sessions on advanced coaching skills, coaching tools, and, for those independent practitioners, building one’s business.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:   Certified coaches and those considering certification, those pursuing or considering a career in the field of coaching, human resource professionals such as learning and development, organizational development, and HR business partners, career counselors, professionals in related disciplines such as consulting, social work, psychology, therapy, etc. A total of 300 attendees are expected.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER:

Annie McKee, Ph.D., founder of Teleos Leadership Institute. McKee is a renowned author, engaging speaker and advisor to top leaders. She is best known for her work on emotional intelligence and resonant leadership. Business Week dubbed her, “the high priestess of executive coaching” in their 2005 Top 100 Leaders issue.

McKee has co-authored groundbreaking books on leadership, including Primal Leadership, Resonant Leadership and Becoming a Resonant Leader. Annie’s newest book, Management: A Focus on Leaders revolutionizes the way management is taught and learned. She serves as Adjunct Professor at the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania and teaches at the Wharton School’s Aresty Institute of Executive Education.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:

National, international, and local speakers include Harvard professor Helen Riess; Linda Anderson, National President of Attention Deficit Association; Ed Modell, President of the International Coach Federation, and Marjorie Brody, Past President, National Speakers Association. Eighteen conference sessions will address building your business, coaching tools and techniques, and advanced coaching skills. Over lunch, an outstanding panel of experts will address the role of the coach in addressing five coaching domains: the Mental, Spiritual, Emotional, Physical and Technical aspects of coaching.
