Keynote Speaker, Laura Berman Fortgang


In the morning, you will hear from keynote speaker, Laura Berman Fortgang, one of the most recognized names in coaching. Laura is internationally recognized as a pioneer in the personal coaching field and is known for her no-nonsense, entertaining writing and speaking style. She is the best-selling author of several books and her latest, “The Little Book on Meaning” debuts April 30th, 2009.

Laura’s appearances on Oprah, The CBS Early Show, NBC's Today, Good Morning American, various nationally syndicated and cable outlets and many others, combined with major print media such as USA Today, Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, MONEY and many international newspapers have paved the way for successful coaches in the industry today. One of the first recipients of the International Coach Federation's (ICF) Master Certified Coach credential, Laura was a founding member and four-year board member of the ICF. She is also a tireless champion for coaching around the worldLaura will talk about how coaches can help clients create meaning in their lives and how we as coaches create meaning in our own lives.

OPEN SPACE


Following Laura, you will move to “Open Space”, an organic experience where you will connect within our coaching community by exploring meaningful issues that YOU identify.

Haven’t previously experienced open space? Open Space enables groups of any size to address complex, sometimes controversial issues and achieve meaningful results.



LUNCH (12:15 - 1:15 pm)

AFTERNOON SESSION (1:15 - 3:00 pm)

Three fabulous concurrent workshops will be offered in the afternoon.  The workshops will ground you in ways to bring more meaning into your coaching practice and/or new ideas for connecting with clients, potential clients and other coaches.

Coaching in the Real World - presented by Jerry Wistrom, PCC, who teaches at three coaching institutions and is active in a number of ICF roles - will look at how professional coaches really function. 

Here you will learn how to:
      -bring all of yourself into your coaching practice.
      -grow your skill set

      -be confident in what you bring to the world.

Leveraging Generation Capital – led by coaches Jennifer Gleeson Blue (a 20-something) and Maria van Hekken (a 50-something) – will provide a clear framework for how organizations and leaders can and must begin leveraging generational diversity as an asset.

Jennifer and Maria focus on helping organizations leverage generation capital. They will provide you with new insights and knowledge about the ways diverse generations impact the workplace and how coaches can share this model with their clients.
