Outstanding Volunteers Honored

Membership’s Volunteer Recognition Committee

Many thanks go to Aili Pogust, Recognition Committee Chair, for leading our new approach in volunteerism. She created a fun exercise for our Holiday Party for us to recognize the collective contributions of our Volunteer Community in the development of PACA.

Aili introduced the crucial benefit our organization receives because of the willingness of all our members to provide skills, time and brain power. All our Volunteers provide direct results in the continued success of PACA.

In order for Volunteerism to be meaningful, it has a two-pronged focus:
1. Concrete results an organization gains.
2. Personal opportunities provided by the volunteer experiences to expand skill-sets and personal goals.

Aili described how she stretched her skills in program development through a consistent recognition program that she developed in a safe, professional environment. At times, it was a challenge, yet she strengthened the skill in working on this project with other coaches with whom it was wonderful to work.

2006 Outstanding PACA Volunteers!

PACA Executive Board has identified two PACA Volunteers who have fulfilled the criteria for this award: an active member in good standing; made an ‘over and above’ contribution as a Volunteer; demonstrate an ongoing commitment to PACA and the coaching profession.

This year, we unanimously voted for Lisa Kramer and Haas Tobey as our 2006 Outstanding PACA Volunteers!

Lisa Kramer, PCCwww.livingwithintention.com, www.lovingwithintention.com
Lisa has served on the PACA Board as Secretary, Education Advisory Board in 2002-2003, co-chair of LIVE Coaching Committee in 2002-2005, and served as chair of LIVE Coaching Committee in 2006. Her most recent contribution is her role as Committee Chair of the Seasoned Coaches Committee that was responsible for Katherine Handin speaking at the Seasoned Coaches event in September!

Haas Tobey, PCC – www.break-throughs.com
Haas served on the PACA Board as Treasurer in 2001-2002, has provided ongoing participation at our monthly meetings, and advises the Board on legal and financial issues. Haas recently consulted on PACA’s by-law revisions. This required Haas’ professional expertise, as well as the historical perspective that Haas brings with his PACA Board experience.

Lisa and Haas were presented with a gift certificate as a ‘thank you’ for their contributions at our Holiday Party!

CONGRATULATIONS to Lisa and Haas!

PACA is a member-driven organization, supported by volunteer contributions:

We are directed, led, and supported by efforts of our members. As a collective community, we are grateful to all PACA members who dedicate their time and talents to perpetuate the legacy of our founding members, established in 1998, in sharing the message of coaching with others!

As Margaret Mead was quoted, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”

We are just such a group!
